Health, according to the World Health Organization, is “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity”.[1] A variety of definitions have been used for different purposes over time. Health can be promoted by encouraging healthful activities, such as regular physical exercise and adequate sleep,[2] and by reducing or avoiding unhealthful activities or situations, such as smoking or excessive stress. Some factors affecting health are due to individual choices, such as whether to engage in a high-risk behavior, while others are due to structural causes, such as whether the society is arranged in a way that makes it easier or harder for people to get necessary healthcare services. Still other factors are beyond both individual and group choices, such as genetic disorders.

So enough gyaan, now let’s learn what all you need to make your own bowl of spring onion and potato soup. Let the fun begin:
Here’s how you can make this comforting soup:
Ingredients:
250 gms spring onion, roughly chopped
1 big potato, roughly chopped
50 gms boiled sweet corn
2-4 cloves of garlic
1 small part of ginger root
Salt to taste
1 tsp oregano powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ghee to sauté vegetables
Grated low-fat cheese for garnish
500 ml water

Method:
Step 1: Take a pan and put it on medium flame. Once the pan is heated, add ghee, garlic cloves, and garlic.
Step 2: After a minute, add potatoes and sauté them. Once they are properly greased, add spring onions. Cover the pan and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 3: Now add 250 to 300 ml water, and cover the pan again. Cook the veggies until the time they are properly cooked (especially potato).
Step 4: Keep the pan off the flame and transfer the veggies to a grinder. Form a smooth paste.
Step 5: Transfer the paste in the pan again, and put it on low flame.
Step 6: Add salt, oregano, and cumin powder. Adjust the consistency of the soup by adding water to it.

Step 7: Once it reaches your required consistency, transfer it to a soup bowl. Add lemon juice and mix it well.
Step 8: Sprinkle chaat masala and garnish the soup bowl with grated cheese and boiled sweet corn.
Now tuck into your blanket and enjoy this comforting and healthy bowl of soup!
